The Planning Stage: No One Likes Surprises
Depending upon the complexity of a project, the planning stage may include conceptual analyses, technical and economic feasibility studies and environmental impact reports.
The engineering and design of a project consists of two phases, preliminary and detailed engineering and design. At the preliminary stage, we focus on the overall design approach, including architectural concepts, size, capacity and structural cost-savings comparisons. Once the preliminary design is established, we submit it to our client and the appropriate parties and/or regulatory bodies for in-depth review.
Upon approval of the preliminary plans, we proceed with the detailed engineering and design. At this stage, the design professionals render explicit drawings and specifications for every facet of construction. Design professionals include, but are not limited to, engineers, architects, interior designers, electrical and mechanical engineers and specialized technicians. These design professionals also perform the detailed site studies to investigate foundation conditions, soil type, slope stability, structural properties of natural materials and environmental impact.
Nathaniel ensures that construction methods and cost information are fully considered, decided upon, and incorporated during the detailed design and engineering phase. This eliminates the possibility of surprises for everyone involved.
